Who we are
We are a fully integrated team with development, construction and estimating divisions all in-house and working simultaneously. Our team has built strong relationships with municipalities, consultants, contractors, and trades to increase efficiency and fast-track construction without compromising quality.
Our track record
We have brought over 3,300 homes into the market and 85+ projects from commencement to completion including multi-family developments and institutional & government funded projects. As passionate homebuilders, we’ve spent the past 55+ years expanding and refining our approach. We are one of the few BC developers to have construction in-house, allowing us to have a seamless stream of consistent collaboration, always fueling new ideas from new perspectives.

Kerkhoff: Develop-Build, began in 1968 as J.C Kerkhoff and Sons Construction, and Kerkhoff Construction has built a strong and respected reputation, both locally and internationally. From the very first home, built in Chilliwack, BC, Kerkhoff Construction has held firmly to a family commitment of excellence, innovation, and integrity, and above all else, client satisfaction.
Today, Kerkhoff: Develop-Build represents the cohesion of three generations to expand the construction and development business from our beginning in single family construction to multi-family concrete high rises and wood frame low rise buildings, to schools, churches, shopping centers and large master-planned communities like the Vernon lands.
Kerkhoff employs over 100 people; with one of our three offices being in Kelowna, Kerkhoff has been involved in over 20 projects in the Okanagan creating over 1,450 new homes!
Along with a wealth of history, we have ample experience developing and building throughout the Okanagan with current projects providing new homes in Kelowna, Penticton, and Summerland.
